Hi all,
Here is the pattern I already found:
Code: | 1/5 2/5 3 6 9 4 1/2/5 7 8
1/4/5/8 2/4/5/9 6 2/3/7 3/5/7/8 2/7/8 1/2/3/9 2/3/4 1/4/5/9
4/5/8 2/4/5/9 7 1 3/5/8 2/8 2/3/4/5/9 2/3/4/6 4/5/6/9
2 8 1 5 4 6 7 9 3
9 6 4/5 2/7 1/7/8 3 1/2/4/5 2/4/8 1/4/5
3 7 4/5 2/9 1/8 2/8/9 1/2/4/5 2/4/6/8 1/4/5/6
4/7 3/4 9 3/4/7 6 1 8 5 2
6 1 8 3/4/7/9 2 5 3/4/9 3/4 4/7/9
4/5/7 3/4/5 2 8 3/7 7/9 6 1 4/7/9 |
I found an x-wing with nines in r6c4/r8c4 and r9c6/r6c6. But what does this help for? Someone_somewhere: I was very interested in your 5-stars-constellation method. Is it also possible to solve it like that? Tnx a lot in advance.

Confused
Sorry I did a mistake,
in row 2 column 7 the pattern is 1/2/3/4/5/9 and I also want to send the original one:

006 000 000
007 100 000
081 506 790
000 003 000

Hi,
This puzzle needs soemthing more than a "five star constellation" can offer:
Starting from the 2 digits: 2 & 7 in r5c4 and following "double implication chains" you can get: 7 not in r2c4.
And starting from the 2 digits: 2 & 3 in r2c4, you could get: 3 not in r2c8.
And this is probable all, which is not much at all and of course not solving the puzzle. The final position that I got was:
Code: | 15 25 3 6 9 4 125 7 8
1458 2459 6 23 3578 278 123459 24 1459
458 2459 7 1 358 28 23459 2346 4569
2 8 1 5 4 6 7 9 3
9 6 45 27 178 3 1245 248 145
3 7 45 29 18 289 1245 2468 1456
47 34 9 347 6 1 8 5 2
6 1 8 479 2 5 349 34 479
457 345 2 8 37 79 6 1 479 |
P.S. I did not realize that "Zeit" came to such a high level puzzles.
Can you supply me the link where it is?
To finish it, you will need the help of someone else with an more advanced technique.
Sorry.
see u, |

Scorpio:
Have you got the original puzzle right? It has 81 solutions as it stands, so guesswork is needed at some stage.
The partials you and someone_somewhere developed occur in all 81.

Hi Scorpio,
This could be a good reason why I can't find a solution.
I can't check if there is a unique solution.
The techniques I am using are leading me to the solution or not.
They are NOT leading me to ONE of the solutions, if there are several solution. This is because I am not doing "try and error".
Still I have about 5 puzzles, which I strongly suppose that they have unique solutions, but I can't solve them with the techniques I am using.
Thank you, Scorpio.

Hi Guest,
The "code" means the, so called, "Candidate Table".
For a certain puzzle position, you write for every cell what digits can fit in it.
Probable, you will need this, only for very hard and higher Sudoku's.
With a long enough training one can manage (in average) up to hard ones without making any notes of candidates.
Hope I could help you, |

Guest, Code is just the tag used to prevent your post from getting formatted (so the columns stay lined up properly).
Putting [ code ] with no spaces creates that inset box with code: at the top and the [ /code ] stops it. |

Place the numbers above the numbers. Use the process of elimation mothod. Remember nothing can be the same in each blue box and nothing can be the same vertical and horizontal. |
