Ted, since this one is for you, I won't post any hints. but i would like to interject with this...

 	  | Code: | .------------------.------------------.------------------.

| 4     9     2    | 8     1     3    | 7     5     6    |

| 8     367   36   | 5     9     267  | 34    1     234  |

| 1     367   5    | 2467  2467  267  | 8     9     23   |

:------------------+------------------+------------------:

| 79    1     489  | 3     247   279  | 6     28    5    |

| 5     2     3469 | 46    8     69   | 1   (3)47 (3)47  |

| 67   #346   3468 | 2467  5     1    |#34    28    9    |

:------------------+------------------+------------------:

| 2     5     7    | 1     3     4    | 9     6     8    |

| 69    8    #14   | 679   67    5    | 2     34   -134  |

| 3    #46    1469 | 269   26    8    | 5     47  (1)47  |

'------------------'------------------'------------------' |

47URr59c89[(1)r9c9 = (3)r5c89] - (3=4)r6c7 - (4)r6c2 = (4)r9c2 - (4=1)r8c3; r8c9 <> 1

the 1 in r9c9 and the 3's in r5c89 can't both be false due to the UR in r59c89. that leads around to the elimination of 1 in r8c9. |

Clarification: What I meant to say is that Ted should like this puzzle because it doesn't need any Naked Quads like an earlier puzzle that he found troublesome. I would never post a puzzle for just one person! Everyone is welcome to post a solution to this puzzle |

Thanks for the consideration Danny; no quads. In fact I don't even recall naked pairs.

I spotted the potential UR<34> inr58c89 and gave it up as useless without ever noticing your UR<47>. Good move.......

However, I did solve the puzzle in four steps as follows: | Quote: | | Kite<3>, xy-wing<679>, xy-wing<246> with two additional transports, xy-wing<679> |

				| I used an XY-Wing on 697 plus a pincer transport, XY-Wing on 246, W-Wing on 34 and a Kite on 3 to finish it off. At that time there was a BUG+1 available, plus probably other solutions as well. |
