				A FANTASTIC VH puzzle! I think the (++) in the title referred to the number of steps, not the techniques to solve it.
 
 
I had two finned x-wings, one x-wing, two xy-wings, one xyz-wing, plus a kite, an ER and a skyscraper for a total of nine moves.

				Consider the set of cells {r689c4, r9c7}[2469]. The max multiplicity of this set appears to be 6 (1,2,2,1), but closer inspection reveals that 4 and 6 cannot both appear twice. Thus the max multiplicity is 5. This implies that r9c5<>4. Furthermore, we can transport the 6 in r6c4 to r9c7, allowing us to eliminate 6 from r9c5 and r9c8.
 
 
From here, there is a skyscraper on 4 that solves it. |

If you are interested, here is the sequence of steps I followed.
 
 
1. Finned x-wing on <6> r69c47; delete r6c56
 
2. Finned x-wing on <8> r69c58; delete r5c5 (this is also a kite in box9)
 
3. xyz-wing on<369> pivot at r4c6; delete <6> r4c4
 
4. Kite on <6> in box5; delete r9c8
 
5. X-wing on <6> r69c47; delete r6c8, r9c5 (I just noted this would make the same deletion as the kite6 noted in step 4.)
 
6. ER on <3> in box9, strong link r4; delete r8c6
 
7. XY-wing on <369> pivot69 at r6c4; delete <3> at r6c5
 
8. XY-wing on <248> pivot48 at r7c9; delete <2> at r7c8
 
9. Skyscraper on <4> r49c4; delete r5c7, r7c9
 
 
I obviously did not concentrate on a particular digit, but just had fun bouncy around doing different things.
